Cutting-Edge Monitoring Technology and Intuitive Data Reports
Sensoria™ utilizes advanced acoustic emission (AE) monitoring technology through a data collection system installed in the turbine hub, and AE sensors installed inside the blade bulkhead. The sensors “listen” to the acoustic signals that components produce during normal operations, and detect and track changes to the signal that indicate the onset and growth of damages. Damages that can be detected include cracking & delaminations, active leading-edge erosion, high energy impacts, lightning strikes, and blade skin ruptures and perforations.
Different kinds of damages result in different kinds of acoustic signals, enabling AE technology to characterize the damage type, severity, and location down to a single blade.
After damage is detected, users receive real-time mobile alerts to enable immediate action. All blade integrity data – from a single blade to an entire turbine fleet – is stored in the Sensoria™ Insights data portal, making blade data accessible and actionable from anywhere in the world.
